COMMENTS:
Taking a left turn on his previous direction, Take follows his
composition skills from his more traditional downtempo work and adds a
new dimension. The drums are still at the forefront, but his sound has
become so much bigger, with teeth-rattling synth bass to painstakingly
chopped and filtered whoknowswhat. This is definitely more of a "sound
collage" affair, but his incredible gift for harmony, song structure,
and loud-as-hell complex drums are at the core of this EP.

TRINIDAD- "Chocolate City" 89.9 KCRW Radio
"Take makes music that makes love. His intricate melodies are
hugged by warm bass shaking tingling textures from kissing trees.
These are
beautiful beats." - FROSTY from DUBLAB
"Take is forging a brand of deeply listenable instrumental
hip-hop. Hypnotic, psychedelic, laid-back, in other words,
thoroughly West Coast. This is a cinematic, thoroughly satisfying head
trip." TOMAS PALERMO - XLR8R Magazne
"Take crafts songs that are an audio sketchbook to your innermost
thoughts and feelings...a pathway to that place inside you one rarely
talks
about. This latest EP shows a broadening of his already
entrancing and highly
effective production skills. The boundaries of beat-making are
obliterated with elements of hip-hop, jazz, soul, electro, downtempo,
and UK grime." - EL DOPA- URB Magazine
"This music is diamonds in the raw, coal yet compressed, and quite the
same people will be unearthing it for years to come." -DAEDELUS- Ninja
Tune/Mush
"Tastefully blending sounds and feels from an eclectic variety of
influences, this new EP from Los Angeles' best-kept-secret shows he is
only getting better. " CAURAL - Mush/ Chocolate Industries
