Poobah Broadcast: The Tom Coston Show with Red Rosie and guest Kanako Seki
2011
This week our guest is Kanako Seki!
Recorded live at 8 p.m. to 11:11 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2011
Our special guest Kanako Seki says "A girl who comes from Japan never gets old." Working as an art program curator and a summer art camp director for a Tokyo base non-profit organization called 'Living Dreams,' Kanako helps to bring opportunities to needy orphans living in her homeland. Kanako and team is planning to develop 2 summer art camps in 2012 in both Tokyo, and Tohoku where a massive earthquake and tsunami hit this last March. Kanako says she often loses a sense of where she is now after working long hours at her Pasadena apartment for kids in Japan. When this happens she goes for coffee to meet Tom. As a new resident of Pasadena without any driving experience, she loves walking around and exploring what she fondly calls "lovely Pasadena." Among other talents Kanako is a trained weaver AND will lead us in a PooBah sing-along of her favorite pop songs. You can join in at home-don't miss it!
